Aug. 28, 2020 — A salmonella outbreak linked to recalled peaches from Prima Wawona and Wawona Packing Co. LLC has now sickened 78 individuals in 12 states, the U.S. Facilities for Illness Management and Prevention stated in an replace Thursday.

It stated that 23 individuals have been hospitalized, however no deaths have been reported.

Prima Wawona has expanded its recall to incorporate bulk/free peaches bought till Aug. 3. Beforehand, the corporate recalled peaches bought in baggage.

A number of different corporations have recalled Prima Wawona peaches or meals made with them, together with Aldi, Meals Lion, Hannaford, Kroger, and affiliated retailers Goal, Walmart and Wegmans.

Russ David Wholesale recalled peach salsa and reward baskets made with recalled Prima Wawona peaches. The recalled peach salsa was bought below three model names and labeled as “Completely Peach Salsa.”

Shoppers and others mustn’t eat, serve, or promote recalled peaches packed or provided by Prima Wawona or Wawona Packing Co. LLC, or meals made with these peaches, the CDC stated.

You probably have free peaches and do not know the place they’re from, throw them out, the company suggested.

The investigation into the outbreak is constant, the CDC stated.
